I have a mention in an older friend's memoir, recounting a time where we shared a hospital stay, and even while it was completely positive, it still made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Seeing yourself and your actions through someone else's eyes can be a really strange experience. I felt like he gave me much more credit than was due for just being myself and a bored, talkative roommate. But, I also learned it wasn't about me or for me.
